I may be a little slow on the uptake, but one thing I've learned is that when Champ says things like a lure is "junk" or don't fish in a section of the lake as there are "no fish there", well go fish that spot and use the junk lure.

LOL Quillback, yes of course I was joshing about the jointed Fin. Love that thing to death. It's put a lot of fish in the boat and a pretty fair amount of $$$ in me and Donna's checking account over the years. Appreciate you guys putting up with my sense of humor.

Always a straight-back Fin .Always. Jointed one is junk. Just complete junk. They won't bite it. Ever. I promise.

And there I was thinking the fin question was going to slip through.

Sadly, about 3/4 of the jointed ones are junk, at least for our purposes.

Get rid of the split ring and put a clip on it the kind that comes on the wiggle wart, so much better action.

snakem, im on it. fished one last night. done well but no keepers, guess wrong spots, but caught 10 fish on it in hour and half.
