Quillback Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yep I agree on TW, great shipping policy. I did look there for grubs, but the colors and sizes I wanted were out of stock. You guys must be buying them all
snakem Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Bill ,I was in there the other day and yes they do. Snakem Out.
Members Topwater TRL Posted May 13, 2013 Members Posted May 13, 2013 I agree on the time delay if ordering directly from gycb. Also, you are stuck with a minimum shipping charge of $14.95! I called in my order in hopes of having them put my order in a Postal Service "if it fits it ships for $4.95" envelop. No luck on that one as the order taker explained their little town's USPS office does not have the ability to handle the number of packages they ship on a daily basis. So... Gycb makes a two hr drive to the nearest UPS hub a couple of times a week, maybe more if they have a full truck! Too bad for the customer their company chose to set up shop in such a secluded town. Anyway, I ordered way more pumpkin with black flake and pond scum perch 5" kut tail worms than I really wanted just to lower the average cost per worm. No wonder the postal service is broke. That's another story. I will also drop gycb an email to reconsider bringing back the clear with silver flake grubs. Sounds like a great color for super clear water. Topwater TRL
Members AAD Posted May 14, 2013 Members Posted May 14, 2013 As of 07:30 this morning (5/14), Outlet Bait and Tackle has a 60% sale going on and the have GYCB 5" single tail grubs for sale, $3.50 per 10 pack. Their shipping is normally quick and inexpensive (max $6.95). They only have 9 different colors listed, but maybe it happens to be one you are looking for. I do see a smoke with black/silver flake. The grubs are on page 2 of the sale if you are interested.

Sent them an email this weekend about that particular color - no reply so far.
*T* Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 QB, Thanks, I will contact them again about that color also. I know others who want that bait. Will let them know to contact Yamamoto. Maybe get some results? "Water is the driving force of all Nature." -Leonardo da Vinci
Quillback Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Yeah let's hope they make some more, sounds like a great color. That Pond Scum perch Kut Tail worm sounds interesting, War Eagle has Pond Scum Perch as a jig skirt color and it works pretty well. I also like the purple/brown laminate for the Kut Tail for drop-shotting.
Members Topwater TRL Posted May 14, 2013 Members Posted May 14, 2013 FYI. The pond scum perch is out of their Kinami line and is sku K7L-11-K849 for the 5" Kut Tail style worm. It's a keeper! Topwater TRL
*T* Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I'll get off of this pursuit now but, fyi, response I received from Yamamoto was minimum order for remake of discontinued colors is 350 bags. Let's see if I can figure that one out @ 20/bag, somewhere around 7,000 grubs. Best get a new favorite. Heck, even one of my fishing buddies name on his email is "silvergrub". Quillback Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I just got a response from them, they said if they made a batch it would take "10 years" to sell them all. Oh well...
