Murdoc
I'll be down Wed morning bright and early. It shouldn't be as cold as Monday morning!! Marshalllaw will be down from Columbia MO. I put a Ozarkanglers.com sticker in my back window of my truck. Lilly sent me one. It's got room for my pin name on it. If any one see's me and my buddy say "hey". Michael I overheard you saying that you were using 3/4lb line?? Something else about setting a World Record?? You two sounded like you were having a blast! My biggest problem Mon morning was the ice in the guides. My reel froze to my gloves a couple of times also. It was greaaatt!! Marshalllaw and I have played golf at Zero degrees before and it reminded me of that day. Coooollldddd!! Next time I'll will speak up and say Hello. Kansas Fly Fisher
Good story. You can't beat the gnat for an all around dry. I also like to use the renegade in a size 16. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Members Jayhawk Chris
Congrats and thanks for sharing. I prefer to fish dries year round. Makes for tough fishing sometimes, but I just enjoy watching the rise too much to pass up the opportunity
Steve Smith
Once you see a trout come up like jaws and take a dry, you're ruined for life. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO

jscheetz
From "A River Runs Through it" - "He told us about Christ's disciples being fishermen, and we were left to assume, as my brother and I did, that all first-class fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fishermen and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman." Now you can't go back. I can be catching fish on wet flies like crazy, but if I happen just out of the corner of my eye to see a swirl on the surface, I will be convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was a rising trout and will most likely spend the rest of the day with a dry fly tied on - whether it produces or not. It's just a sickness. Micheal Kyle
We have tied that for years and I allways wondered why we called it a sculpin. I think that it needs to be called fish slayer because when you fish it no matter how you fish it you catch day or night. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways! Leonard
I decided I was going to go find me some dinner last night up by the dam.. so I needed one or two fish, 20-23in to bring home so I could stuff it with cornchips and smoke it.. here is what happened.. I got there at about 9:30 and meet up with Raincrow.. so I talked him into joining me for a little while.. I got geared up and we headed down the stairs at chute 2 I saw at least 5people in this area.. so we walk down the bank until we were out of their way... less then 5 minutes in the water hooked up on a nice 18 in brown (not dinner)... less then 5 minutes later another nice brown close to 17in (again not dinner).... well we fished through the rebar, down through the gaunlet and to the big hole...while fishing the big hole and listen to someone "JAMMING" the radio in the parking (at least it was good music), I caught 7 from the big hole. ... no size biggest was 15in rainbow... smallest was maybe 10in (not big enough for what I had in mind!)... Raincrow.. head upstream alittle early...not sure how he did... well I headed back up toward the dam... past 2 guys fishing the head of the rebar.. these 2 guys would be the only other 2 I see until I left.. Fishing the area around chute 1 and down pick up another 5 fish a still no size.. now it was almost 1pm so it was time to head to the house... Looks like im going to be hungry for another day or two!! http://www.taneycomonights.com
