eyedabassman Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Have you guys fished a NorthStar Jig? I have fished them for 3 or 4 years now and I can say they are the best jig I have ever fished hands down! I can't chip the head, his colors are very cool and hand tied skirts. He has football heads, flippin heads every head you want.Take a look at northstarcustombaits.com see for yourself! OH and very cool spinnerbaits too!
Jason Essary Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Just looked them up. Nice looking jigs but pricey. Pigstickers are just as good, local, and less money. Pepe Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 +1 on the Pigsticker Jigs. The Brian Snowden Jig is excellent. I just hope I can fish it without hitting the slime this year.
dtrs5kprs Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Just looked them up. Nice looking jigs but pricey. Just about all jigs have achieved "pricey". Keeps me pouring my own. Can't bring myself to drop $5 or more on a bait I plan to fish with little promise of it returning. The Hazie Dazie jigs are still pretty decently priced, especially in the tied rubber versions with Gamak. Still buy those because it saves quite a bit of time.
garyw Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 looking up northstar and found my new go to jig. LOL http://www.boobjigs.com/
Jacob W Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I'm with dtrs, I loose so many jigs. My investment in jig making materials has already paid for itself. Less than 100 dollars to get started, now I can make really nice football jig for about $1 a piece.
moguy1973 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/ Siebert Outdoors makes good jigs too, and they are local out of the St Louis area. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
