Hi has anyone used a Razr rod? I purchased one about 4 months ago and really enjoy fishing it, but I thought it was a little heavy. I put a Lews Tournment Pro reel on it and it balances nicely. The gentleman that I spoke to was a very friendly guy and was very helpful. I was also told that these rods come with a no questions asked full lifetime warranty. Can anyone vouch for that? It was also nice to hear that these rods are local and I love supporting local small businesses. I also use Pigsticker jigs (local) with this rod and have been jawjacking them.

Thanks

I have no personal experience with them but have heard of issues with warranty claims.

Is that the rod that Rick LaPoint makes or sells? Saw them at the St. Louis boat show a couple of years ago and they looked nicely made but older technology and tip heavy from what I could tell. The guy working their booth was too pushy trying to sell them to anyone that walked by and I couldn't take it anymore with his sales pitches and had to walk away.

I thought so. I am sure they are nice rods but for that $ I think their are other rods that are better. Just my opinion. If you want to try to keep it local (kinda...if you are from Arkansas) Denali Rods get great reviews and are based in Mountain Home, AR. I have no personal experience with them but have heard nothing but praise for them and the prices are fair. On Bass Boat Central there is usually about a post per week or so on the best rod for around $100 bucks and the Denali usually always make it into the conversation. Another rod that people are REALLY raving about lately is the 13 Fishing rods. I have more rods than I need but if I were to get another I think I would be the Omen series.

Here is a link the the Denail lines of rods:

I believe Capt. Don House is also on their Pro-Staff. He gave me one to use a few years ago, for swimming a fin. I tired the rod and found it more than good. They are abit old school in appearance, but it preformed very well. It was heaver than my Falcon's, and just not quite as fast. I believe there is a knitch for this rod. You probably could find a hole in your current rod company that one of the Razar would work in.

I just hate mixing equipment, even if they are for totally different purposes. I just lose feel. Like to keep it pretty much the same if I can and use the rods in the progression that the company makes.

I guess I'm old school, or just plain old.

Does anyone have experience with the BPS Carbonlite rods? I bought a couple for use with

spinnerbaits and topwater, but haven't used them enough yet to test their durability. I'm

interested in the 6'9" MH for TX rigs and jigs, but would like to hear someone else's experience

before changing out my older, heavier Shimanos.

I bought two carbonlites last fall.. like them... very lightweight...I broke one ... by my own foolish move... hung it between rail on boat and picked it up...Bass pro says they will replace since only owned since last october.

Bought a spinning rod and a worm rod. Really love the spinning rod... and like the worm rod...for some reason... my Falcon seems to be my favorite for the worm/jig rod.

The carbonlite is very light...hope this helps.
