Went to Joe bald park last night to take a home owner fishing for a couple hours. Figured on catching a nice topwater bite before dark (easy fishing for him). Wow was I wrong. Water was way dirtier than I expected. At point 9 visiblility was at best 3'. Of course this killed the topwater bite. Ran up the white half mile to see if it was clear up that way. Visibility was around 4.5'. Had not heard from anyone that the "mud" had made it down here that fast. Did change gears, caught 2 quality greens on a texas rig and got my owner on one short. He was happy but I was disappointed.

What clarity has everyone esle been seeing?

I fished up by Cape fair today, clarity was anywhere from 1 foot to 2 foot depending how close you were to Cape Fair

If anybody goes up that way be extremely careful there is Logs and debris all over the place

In the White, around Big M up to point 23, I'd say you're looking at 5-8 feet of viz. Some of the coves it's less, but in general it's pretty good viz for bass fishing purposes.

The Big Rains last week hit up North so anything flowing into TR from the North side is loaded with silt. Around my place we only recorded about .86 over two days vs. reports of upwards of three-four inches from about Nixa North.

Kings River is spoty, with some sections of the river muddy and some with a good green color. Getting bites in either color of water, just switch it up during the day for example green water=topwater or buzzbait in the dirty water the fish are holding very tight to cover in the mud if you can't get a bite on top use a texas rig, jig, spinnerbait, crankbait and get thos fish to react, don't really know much about the night deal.

Upper end (state line to Rock Creek) yesterday was 3-4'. and fish were shallower than they "should be" now (<15'). Didn't drop a probe, but I expect cold releases from Beaver are as much a factor as clarity on this end.

I can't dance like I used to.

Brown water is around Kim City. Few clearer spots in some of the creeks. Still eating the Ned and shakey head, but slower.

This brown water has me all excited. Green pumpkin tube with orange tentacles should drive them nuts.
