I wouldn't worry to much about those jerks in the world. What goes around comes around.......and it probably already has, ten-fold.

I'm pretty certain those guys that think they are big cause they own a construction company, are drowning in debt. Will be out if business in a couple years, with creditors wanting that fancy boat/truck back they could never afford to begin with. Then they start up another equally crummy construction company under a different name and let the cycle continue.

I would venture to guess, the company name Advanced Construction means the only way in heck this guy will finish a job is if you DON'T pay him in advance. Cause if you did, he would just take the money and run.

Or maybe Advanced Construction to him is using a tape measure?........pretty advanced stuff all right!

Don't be too upset with a guy who lives a life of turmoil, debt, not answering phone calls (cause he knows collectors are after him), throwing away or ignoring mail, because they know its a stack of 'final notice' bills. All the while trying to keep up the appearance of being cool with some boat/truck/home/wife-girlfriend he could never afford in the first place.

For YEARS I dealt with those jokers on a daily basis at work. They aren't nearly as cool as they think they are.

They think cause they can swing a hammer; they should be the boss. Quickly to find out you have to be able to do more than swing a hammer to run a business. It helps to be able to form a coherent sentence too.......that's where they stumble........or maybe the stumbling is just from the dysfunctional amounts of alcohol their life is fueled by?

Just my 2 cents from a guy with TONS of daily and direct interactions with goons like that guy at the ramp you had the misfortune of smelling there josh.:-(

Oh their is a lot of people like that around here, I shrugged it off cause I would rather not have to have a conflict with anyone if I can avoid it. I'm pretty easy going guy and usually don't take anything to heart or let stuff get under my skin but man their is some really stupid people out their that dont think before they act. LIke motoman said he probably has so much stress stress and debt he feels obligated to take it out on other people lol I didn't take it to heart cause I think it makes a person even more mad when you laugh at them while their being a butt. A few years ago I would have got out on the bank with the intentions of fighting but the good lord above has calmed my spirit and part of walking with god is learning to turn the other cheek and walk away no matter how mad someone or something makes you. But like I always say you can't fix stupid and that guy had a whole lot of it lol.

All of the TR regulars have stories about the riff raff. Unfortunately, the only way to avoid thee types is to be where they are not:

On the water at 5:00 AM and leave at _:__ AM.

On Bull Shoals.

On the water at 8:00 PM and leave whenever.

Mid-week not weekend.

October and April.

Having said that, I plan to go out tomorrow and fish until noon. However, my wife says I have no sense.

Guys, this is a very volatile subject. Please keep it as extremely clean and non threating as possible. You never want anything in print that may or may not come back to haunt you. This is also a very friendly family forum, so I must ask for a bit of decorum even though feeling are very close to the surface.

Being out there everyday I more than feel your pain. I have witnessed several incidents this year that were very reprehensible at best, and all of them were by some of our own fishermen.

As far as out early, that is great advice. Did have skiers on the water at 5:50 AM yesterday however. Pretty unusual, but they were there.

Great advice as usual from Bill and rps. Josh I think we all know where you're comin from. I've ran into several knuckleheads out there, not only at the lake but at the gas station at 4 in the mornin with the usual drunk crowd making their way home. Just have to turn the other cheek and try to forget about it.

Used to be very confrontational as well, but had couple friends shot by jet skiers they argued with at a lake near Hot Springs several years ago. One of my buddies was carrying a pistol, didn't matter when the other guys were waiting on them. Neither friend was mortally wounded, and the shooters spent less than a year in jail.

If you are on the water from May to October you will end up dealing with problems at the ramp and on the water. I know this is a broken record but if we had more law enforcement at the ramps and on the water it would cut down on many problems.

The news has been talking about all the ( enforcement ) suppose to be going on right now on the lakes and roads and two days in a row on Beaver and never saw a sheriff, ranger or AGFC. SO where is this enforcement? But more of a question is "why do they have to talk about something that should be a no brainer?" The lakes are packed to the hills every weekend if it was a concert or other event there would be cops all over.
