The ignorance of some of you clowns to think that nobody knows of the Black River or Turnback Creek is amazing.......Britt I fished Turnback with my unlce and dad several times in the 80's.....the Black River had been getting raped like Ned Beatty in Deliverance by crawlers since the 70's and has made a nice come back after the outlawing of crawlers going thru the river......niether of these streams are off the grid.....tons of people know about both.......and don't you think for a second that you somehow enlightened me on Turnback....fished it many times before I ever owned a computer.

You may have fished it when they were still wiping your nose but that wasn't the point. The point is, if the OP didn't name the waterway, it isn't your job to do it for them. I am not saying I enlightened you on it, but I also remember the half dozen or so phone calls from you asking all kinds of info about it. And these weren't just five minute calls either, several times my battery went dead.

Also while we are making allegations, quit portraying yourself as a catch and release guy with Smallies.....we have all read your post's in the past and it's obvious you keep them and eat them and that is well with in your legal rights as a licensed Missouri resident.

You know you are lying here. You know, as well as everyone else on this board that I am a strict C&R when it comes to smallmouth. I have stated it many times and you know form conversations that I am. You also know that I am being sarcastic when I post that. Everybody here does. You also know I have never in my life put one on a stringer. To even post that BS speaks volumns on your true character. That was really sad and pathetic! You are absoutley tossing schit to see if it will stick!

I'm a born and raised north county hoosier, some of my best friends are hoosiers. I find the stereotype great fun. I Recommend everyone get in touch with their inner hoosier, it's not a bad place to be. In otherwords find something truely worthy of being offended by instead some goofy urban slang.

X2, I resemble that remark!

At least us north county dudes didn't say highway farty far like the south St. Louis Hoosiers :)

Why do you keep asking what high school we went to?

What do you use now that ephedrine is so hard to get your hands on?

Lafayette High School- what dam-n difference does it make?

Wildwood- no we were not rich, oh how I wish... I would have got laid before 20 yrs old had I been well off- oh how I wish...

You look for opportunitis to get offended- a very feminine characteristic.

Not editing your post, -you are low class-

I have been reading your posts and I had pegged you as a smallmouth catch and stomp, so I could see his mis-understanding on it, tongue in cheek on a forum doesn't. Always come across on a forum with no body language, or eye contact- glad to hear you don't catch-stomp.

Geez, guys, lighten up.

I'd say that forum etiquette dictates that you don't ID a stream that the original poster didn't name. It would tick me off if somebody did that to me, and I'm one who doesn't name some of the streams I post about fishing. I knew where Smalliebigs was in the photos, or at least was able to guess, but I wouldn't name it.

It really hurts to see a fish like that relegated to a stringer. Yes, it's legal, but to most of us, a smallmouth that size is pretty special and is a lot more valuable in the river (where we might catch it!) than in a frying pan. But you gotta pick your battles and that's one that you ain't gonna win.

I guess I take some solace in realizing how much things HAVE changed. There was a time, not too many years ago, when trying to fish Black River was a total waste of time. I remember being on upper Black River one fine summer day when there were two different Jeeps full of guys toting rifles running up and down the river, and whenever they'd come to a deep pool they'd jump out, stick the gun barrels underwater and touch one off, and then pick up any stunned fish that they saw. And this was right in the middle of a popular campground with a ton of people around. Meanwhile, there were hot rod looking vehicles with elevated exhaust pipes driving right off into deep water so that half the vehicle was submerged and the people in them were beginning to float out of their seats. ATVs everywhere, and the smell of exhaust fumes was omnipresent. I swore I'd never go there again...and didn't until they finally made it illegal to do all that crap. There will always be hoosiers, but maybe as the old ones die off the young ones are a bit more enlightened.

They stuck the gun barrels in the water? You certain about that? :)

I'm messing with you- gunlore- urban gun legend, and true. Their barrels get shorter with every round fired? :)

It would be understandable for you to think that. You are new to this forum. I wouldn't have had a problem if you would have called me on it or like others have done, sent a PM asking. I would have told you that it is just a bit of sarcasim.

Scott is not new. He has known for years my status on C&R. We have talked many times on the phone, he knows full well I don't keep smallmouth. Hell, I rarely keep any fish. He blanantly and knowingly lied trying in a feeble attempt to deflect the attention of his own Hoosier antics of naming creeks the OP didn't. You can guaran-darn-tee he would thow a huge hissy fit if someone was to name one of the smaller creeks that he fishes and post pics of!

I totally agree with you Al. On July 2 Smalliebigs identified the location/river. Smallies are quite special and I would not think of keeping one. Way too many goggle eye, walleye, crappie and gills to eat.

As to why I inquired about the high schools? St Louis is the only town I know where folks identify you by the high school you went to. When in the Lou and you are asked what school you went to is does not mean college.
