Got off to a good start, then things quickly went south. Caught a couple on a point on a creature, picked up 3 nice keeper LM off a back corner of a boat dock on a jig, and then spent the rest of the morning trying to find a deep bite. Could not find the deep fish, fished several points that usually hold fish and just picked up a couple of shorts.

Saw this guy swimming across the channel. These dudes can swim surprisingly fast.

That is pretty much as good as they get at Golden Missouri. That area of Emerald Beach is a huge Subdivision and there are literally hundreds of deer in it. I'm going to assume that deer looked to be at least 4 yrs. old. Would have loved to have seen his body.

Last year in late October I launched one day at the back ramp at Viney and there were 4 bucks in the group, all shooters and all in the Park. The area holds some very nice deer.

That Buck from the Photo's looked to be at least a 130 buck if it had eye guards. Nice photo.

We also has a rough morning, took Bill's report to heart and put in at Eagle Rock where the fog was pea soup and we has to stay close till 8:30 then it was blue bird skies. Fished flats in 20-30 foot of water, bait was everywhere but few fish around them and those that were must have been full of the bait because they did not want our jigs or DS. Ended up with 6 blacks ( 2 very nice would be keeps). Will hit it again soon. Good fishin, Duck.

Very good photo and nice buck. I sure am sorry to hear the fishing is tough. We are on our way tomorrow.

Nice report and nice pics. That bucks antlers have some mass on them for a southern acorn eating deer for sure. Almost looks like a Mulley. Probably don't get a whole lot bigger than that in that neck of the woods. At least he is abiding by the law as I don't see any no wake buoys in the pic as he is throwing a nice one.
