J-Doc Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Suddenly.......when mention of a new boat comes into question my wife takes a sudden interest in fishing and boating in general. I already have my 2 kids hooked on it so looks like Dad's sports car boat will have to wait and Dad's "mini-van boat" will be the first purchase. I'm ok with that though if it gets my family into fishing. That's what it's all about right? Fun with family passing on the values and sport of fishing to the little ones? Here's what I'm looking at.... Lowe FM175 Pro WT with a 150 Optimax http://www.loweboats.com/2013/fishing-machine/fm175-pro-wt/ Or http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/?boat=3501 If anyone has experience or opinions on either of these boats or deep v aluminum in general, I'd appreciate some help. Wayne SW/MO Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Lowe has an outstanding seam warranty, but I've never seen Trackers and don't know that it isn't equal. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
fishinwrench Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 That Lowe is a sweet ride. If you're biting off a brand new rig I would want to switch out the Opti for an E-tec if possible. Also look at a few Lunds before you pull the trigger.
Feathers and Fins Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 If your heart is set on the Deep V the Lund is hands down winner they just been doing it forever and know how to build one. http://www.lundboats.com/boats/2013-aluminum/pro-v-boats/2075-pro-v https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
J-Doc Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 How the heck did I leave out LUND.... I knew I was forgetting something. If I got one, does that mean I have to start adding the words "Eh" to the end of every sentence????? EH? LOL! Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. J-Doc Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Oh and wrench......... I'm only considering new because I've been wanting new for years. I want a bigger boat that the whole family can enjoy (my daughter is ALL ABOUT fishing at only 3yrs old) and I need a boat big enough to cart my wife..........I mean the entire family around in! LOL! J-Doc Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Wrench.............just think of the fun fishing we could have on LOA! Well.....I don't think the deep V is meant for fly rods but we could take mine to the big end of the lake when wakers are not out. :-) Need marine repair?
