Feathers and Fins
Lots of interesting things and some questions answered yesterday, Mizz looked good but Franklin is liable to get taken out his running skills are good but he runs high and seems to be vulnerable on his right side and an SEC Defense will hurt him, heck any really good defender could. The screens were annoying and most the SEC defenses will see this and pick-6's are going to be in the future for them as they are telegraphing them. Arkansas looked good out of the blocks but then had some sputters before getting their heads out of whatever butt they went in, They should be doing better against Samford than they did. I think the heads got kicked by Coach B and put back in the game I liked that. LSU, I was wondering if they could muster a decent passing game ( QUESTION ANSWERED ) Man I know that was no SEC opponent but good lord Beckham needs to be reviewed by the NCAA to see if wearing catchers gloves are LEGAL. He was fun to watch last night and the Field Goal run back was exciting a play and run as I have seen in a long time. LSU is going to be very dangerous. ATM, Ok its the Johnny football show, but it was Sam Houston 400 yards passing? ya ya ya but lets see him go up against SEC teams that were shocked by him last year and all of them are gunning for him this year. Bama coming up Johnny boy and its time to show your stuff against a team that can hurt you. Georgia, South C. Very good game what SEC football is about I did think SC should have done better but Georgia wanted it more and that is what it comes to in SEC match-ups many times ( who wants it most ) Notre Dame, Had fun harassing a die-hard fan friend of mine, I said it last year they were not that good and still are not https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Ham
I think LSU is going to be OK. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Quillback
Samford was leading going into the 4th quarter? Samford??? Sheeesh.. Bielama better kick some butt. I'm seeing a few chinks in the SEC armor. Florida loses to Miami, last week Clemson beat GA, but GA beats #6 SC. That GA tailback, Gurley, is a load. ozark trout fisher
Yes, the SEC is far from dominant this year. Still good, likely the best conference, but not by a mile. Of all things it looks like the ACC could be the biggest challenger this year. Clemson, FSU, Miami-all legit contenders IMO that could have a chance at taking out an SEC team in the title game. They are all three better in my mind than teams like Ohio State -which would be lucky to fare as well as Notre Dame did last year. One thing that is abundantly clear is that no one in the east is remotely close to invincible. The only teams that are even without a loss two games in are Mizzou and Tennessee. Of course that is mostly a function of schedule, but it still shows that there is no dominant team. Mizzou cannot realistically hope to win the east but a top 3-4 finish is well within range if our defense can improve. The only two teams I'm confident we will finish behind in the final standings are Georgia and South Carolina. Yes, I think we can be neck and neck with middle of the road teams like Vandy and Florida. Of course if our defense doesn't improve, the only team I'm fairly confident we'll be ahead of is Kentucky, and even they looked okay on Saturday. It will interesting to see which way this goes. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised with either one.
On The Fly 6
I hate all things SEC, but its the most dominate conference in college football. I still think Mizzou and A&M screwed up moving out of the Big 12, but I get why they did it. As a life long Sooner fan, and judging their first two games, I hope they're able at least beat their rivals in Texas and OSU. Without a pocket passer that they've come to be known for, I don't know how we'll they're gonna fair. I guess we shall see once they have an actual test. Feathers and Fins
I have to disagree with you on ATM, The move for them was perfect. They came to a Higher end Conference and with much more exposure for the school, they got lucky with JM and a exciting team their first two years now. It was a great if not perfect time for them as they will garner more money and more exposure to the school. In the long term though they will have to maintain and attract high quality players to keep reaping the benefits. ATM is a football school no doubt and it was a good move. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Wayne SW/MO
OU fan and I'm unsure. WV is rebuilt and it's hard to tell just how good they are. With a redshirt freshman it's always hard to know when he will hit the stride he's shown in practice. The running game is solid and I hope they go back to the running games of the past. The defense didn't look good last year after teams had a chance to give it a hard look. Last year is the first year Mike Stoops had the defense all to himself, so we'll see. ozark trout fisher
OU should have no trouble with Texas at all. That program is in total disarray and Mack Brown has to be in his last season as good of a job as he did in the past. I don't think they are headed to a bowl game after their performance on Saturday. They have more talent that anyone not named Alabama and it is just ridiculous that they can never get it together. OSU, on the other hand.....gonna be tough. Right now I think they are the co-favorite in the Big 12 with Baylor, with Texas Tech and their high powered offense just behind. Even after leaving I really like the Big 12. Those high powered offenses are fun, so outside of Missouri games I tend to pay more attention to that league than the SEC. Here's how I see that conference.....1. OSU 2. Baylor 3. Tech 4. OU 5. TCU 6. WVU 7. KSU 8. Texas 9. Iowa State 10. ?

Iowa State 10. some school that only plays basketball and doesn't currently field a football team. I would probably agree with that, except for 2,3,and 4. maybe. I'm not sure there is a noticeable difference in them at this point. I lost some of my enthusiasm for Missouri during the Dan Devine era. He had first shot at all of Missouri football players, but the best ones left and he could never vie for the top spot. It took them 47 years to get from 5th to 4th nationally. So in spite of being a native, I leaned towards OU, because of other links. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
