rps Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Chuck Etheredge of Holiday Island passed last night after a long fight with cancer. Chuck is the person that taught me the most about Table Rock walleye and he still holds the Holiday Island Marina walleye record with a 14.5 pound fish. He was only able to fish two or three times this summer but managed to catch yet another 10 pound plus fish on one of those trips. At his request, he will be cremated and his ashes spread over his favorite walleye hole. The family is planning a fish fry as his memorial. What a model for all of us.
laker67 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Sad news indeed, but I am sure his legacy will live on through you and others. My condolences to you and the family.
Quillback Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Sorry to hear this, my condolences also to you and the family.
Cindyjo Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 It is obvious that he left you more than a fishing hole. I'm sure he smiles from above that a friend such as you took the time to share with us his passing. Thank you for bringing this to the fishing communities attention. My condolences.
bfishn Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Sad news rps, my thoughts are with you and Chuck's family. I can't dance like I used to.
motoman Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Sorry to hear about your loss RPS; but now that you're back on the water, get out there and get some of his walleye for him!:-) - Cool idea to have a fish fry in his memory.:-)
