Old plug Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Sorry Al not do not agree with you about names although I do agree with you about the rest.those people that do all the catching and killing it is more urban people doing that than country types. When I regard something as stereotyping are a discriminating remark I will not ignore it. I have experienced it all first hand. Sounds funny coming from a white man huh.?
Mitch f Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Can anyone on this forum who has smallmouth fished in other states honestly say that Missouri has better quality fishing? Not me. Whenever I fish out of state I always fish under more restrictive regulations and I always catch more and bigger fish. Joe D is correct; the state of smallmouth fishing in Missouri is deplorable. For those who think we do have quality smallmouth fishing, you have no idea what your missing. Yep "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Old plug Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Only places i can compare it to or Canada( very restrictive regulation and short season) and lake St Clair Mich. i think the later might be the best place in the nation to catch big smallmouth. .

stlfisher Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 My expectation's are that I will fish a lot less than I would like, but I am really looking forward to a 3 day trip next weekend.
Guest Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 My expectation's are that I will fish a lot less than I would like, but I am really looking forward to a 3 day trip next weekend. No doubt, I expect to drink a few cold beers and watch lots of football this weekend. The weather is going to be nice and cool for a change. Allergies have been plaguing me since they started bailing hay.
Old plug Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I expect at least hope to pick up a couple more 5 lb or larger bass. They are always in my target zone and I am missing a few this year.
Seth Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I expect to plan on fishing more this fall but end up bowhunting and leaving the gigging rail on the boat for stabbing suckers the majority of the time. Who knows though. Once I get it setup so I can add or remove the trolling motor easier maybe I will do some more fishing. I'd love to try and best my current PB smally of 18" or at least catch some more nice ones before the year is over with.

It is my wife' birthday this weekend so my football watching will be limited tomorrow as we will be hanging out with her family. They like to drink though...and I will need too as well.
