Flysmallie Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 why would you, and 15 others, feel you could just go around the road block and launch your boat? Because it's government ignorance to try and close a lake. Total stupidity.
Ranger520vx Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 It was because of the government shutdown. I would have went around too we paid for those ramps they belong to the citizens not the Feds. There is no reason for them to b closed other than the cry babies in Washington getting their panties all in a wad.
minnowhooker Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Did the closing have anything to do with the lack of funding from the Government? Or a seasonal or maintenance closure? Either way, why would you, and 15 others, feel you could just go around the road block and launch your boat? I, personally, would have gone elsewhere.... They have a gate at the Cedar Ridge ramp they close when the water is low. I'm sure it would have been closed if they cared. From what I understand it's the campgrounds their concerned with.
Members lollygagger Posted October 4, 2013 Members Posted October 4, 2013 Try to not drive off road or damage the integrity of launch ramp if running the barricades. Hate to see 'em closed for repairs. Fixing 'em when it gets colder is iffy. Any damage repair may not be feasible until spring. Then they would really be closed.

I have paid for the anual pass to launch my boat for years and this stupid goverment shutdown has nothing to do with a boat rampo that was built several years ago. Bought and paid for by us The Citizens/taxpaying Americans. I would drive around any i could to launch my boat. Screw em!
Members strat278 Posted October 4, 2013 Members Posted October 4, 2013 haveing gas stolen in broad daylight pretty bold especialy right there, we was at ruark bluff camping this week like we do every year at this time had to leave wed, because of the shut down lot of money being lost to the corp, they could still have the pay boxes out to collect money dont understand why every thing has to be shut down
Ranger520vx Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Figure they are closed because the Washington cry babies aren't getting their way so they are throwing a tantrum and going to try to make our lives more difficult.
Members lost at pomme Posted October 5, 2013 Members Posted October 5, 2013 Is going around signs and gates going to get you trucks and trailers towed and poss fine for tresspassing?????
wuteversbitin424 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Everybody i know is still unloading lost. everybody should remember that the people who put these blocks and signs up mostly are just like all of us and fish stockton as we do. i don't think they're out to get us or tow our truck or fine us. we are just there to fish and unload on ramps we pay for. my dad unloaded at cedar ridge Wednesday and had no problems
