joeD Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Money is going to LA. For a reason. Cards aren't hitting. Two lefties. Misguided coach (Matheny; re: Mujica). Sorry. LAs turn.
Al Agnew Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Okay...might as well just give LA the championship and not play the games, then. Not much in this series has gone the way it was predicted. Both Grienke and Kershaw lose, and then Wainwright loses. And then Lynn wins. Only the last game, Grienke against Kelly, went as predicted. Prediction would be that Kershaw wins today, then it's Wainwright against Ryu in the final game, a toss up because Wainwright should be the better pitcher but the Cards can't hit lefthanders. I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that the Cards win today's game, 7 to 4, as they get to Kershaw early, Wacha pitches well into the 6th, then the Dodgers get to him and tie the game 4-4, then the Cards score 3 in the 7th and 8th as the bullpen shuts down the Dodgers, and Rosenthal closes it out but not without a lot of excitement, striking out Puig with the bases loaded.

Had to do little editing.
Greasy B Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I like that version. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
cnr Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I hope they win. Gotta say I'm a little pessimistic with the way they have been batting, a .194 team average won't go very far against good pitching. Maybe Wacha is due for that no-hitter :-) Puig is a punk.
Al Agnew Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Well, Cards got their four runs...hope I'm wrong and Wacha shuts them down for a complete game shut-out.
moguy1973 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Kershaw hasn't won against the Cardinals in 5 straight games now... So much for Mr. Cy Young winner...That trophy will look good on his mantle next to his no World Series rings... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
stlfisher Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Wacha is a freak...2 hits. Nice to see the cards offense again.
