Got away for a couple days last week and headed down to a couple of my favorite streams in Missouri. The fall weather was beautiful and the crowds were non-existent for the first time since Summer eneded. The fishing was great but the catching just average. While I caught plenty of fish , they were all less than 12" and the larger ones that I can normally count on a few of just couldn't be had for me on this trip. Still a wonderful time spent on a couple of the Ozarks finest...

You Da Man! I do appreciate guys that are willing to go do their thing.

I disagree completely that it's just as nice a day if you don't catch fish, but that's ok too.

I love seeing the dog too. I haven't tried that with mine -- he's kinda high strung. Feel like I'd be on a dog watch saddled with a fly rod.

Great post. I always enjoy your blog. I know that first body of water well. I also enjoyed the read on your adventure in TX with the salt water excursion.
