Troutnut69 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Got away for a couple days last week and headed down to a couple of my favorite streams in Missouri. The fall weather was beautiful and the crowds were non-existent for the first time since Summer eneded. The fishing was great but the catching just average. While I caught plenty of fish , they were all less than 12" and the larger ones that I can normally count on a few of just couldn't be had for me on this trip. Still a wonderful time spent on a couple of the Ozarks finest... Full TR on the blog. http://highplainsflyfisher.blogspot.com/

Ham Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 You Da Man! I do appreciate guys that are willing to go do their thing. I disagree completely that it's just as nice a day if you don't catch fish, but that's ok too. No sleep til Brooklyn... Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
moguy1973 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I enjoy your blog, too bad I can't see the pictures here at work! -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
patfish Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 If Joe didn't allow you to go on his excursions I wouldn't even read the TRs on your blog.
Troutnut69 Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 Thanks for all the comments guys ,I appreciate it. Don't think I kid myself , I know who the star of the show is...I'm just along for the ride!!
ness Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I love seeing the dog too. I haven't tried that with mine -- he's kinda high strung. Feel like I'd be on a dog watch saddled with a fly rod. John
Members jgentile Posted November 2, 2013 Members Posted November 2, 2013 Great post. I always enjoy your blog. I know that first body of water well. I also enjoyed the read on your adventure in TX with the salt water excursion.
