hoglaw Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Anyone interested in doing a trip in November or December? Ham, LR, anyone? My boat can accomodate three easily. I haven't tried to fish four out of it (and only have three seats), but I'm sure it's do-able. I'd be up for taking canoes down the 'fork too. We whacked them on zig jigs doing that last weekend. My fiancee's desire to be on the river wanes significantly when it gets colder. If it's a nice weekend I'm sure she'd want to come too. We could rent one of the big places at Norfork River Resort maybe? Just thinking out loud here. But I'd love to do a gathering with some of you guys and learn some stuff. If we wait until it gets REALLY cold, then the river won't be nearly as crowded and maybe we'll get some higher jerkbait flows.

gotmuddy Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 hoglaw, give me a call/text any time you want to go....I am a zigjig slinger too, and if needed I have a spare seat, lol. Right now my 9.9 is busted. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
gotmuddy Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 If I can get my 9.9 fixed or replaced by then I would love to take some people out in my boat everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
LittleRedFisherman Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Hoglaw, count me in man!! December might look better for me, but possibly by the end of this month. I need 12 to 14 days of harvest to finish, not counting rainouts. I"ve got a L48 supreme with 25 jet I can bring if several want to come. Love to hang with you guys and try to perfect my Zig jigging, plus just be cool to meet and fish with new people!! I will drive past Muddy on my way to the white. Lets figure something out and do it!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
hoglaw Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 December 7 and 14 both look good to me. I'm leaning towards the 14th because Fiancee's birthday is November 29th, and we may need a weekend right around then to celebrate. I'm open to suggestions as to where you guys would want to go. I am partial to the big cabins at the Norfork River Resort. They sleep a lot of folks comfortably and I like that part of the river. A little more elbow room than fishing up at the top. Of course, if we get good water conditions, we could do a long float on the upper river and run some shuttles. If we have low water, a canoe trip down the norfork really is a blast. I'll be pretty flexible that time of year and could probably knock off on a Friday as well to get an afternoon of fishing in.
gotmuddy Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 hoglaw, I could get us a great deal on a cabin at Riley's I imagine. We could have a riverboat conclave LOL. What do yall think? a weekend of fishing, eating, and the occasional cold beverage? everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
hoglaw Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Riley's would be fine with me. I've never stayed there, but a good deal is a good deal. If we have one or two guys with 9.9's, then maybe we can do some wart and jerkbait fishing in the buffalo. They'll send me to jail if I try to run it. I figure we bump this thread a few more times and hopefully get some more eyes on it, and then we do a roll call a week or two out? How much notice do you think you need to get the place booked? That's not just a super busy time of year for them I don't think.
LittleRedFisherman Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Those dates might work for me Hoglaw, I"ll be sure there isn't something going on those weekends! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
