I always carry a spare set of dry clothes in the winter. Last winter I almost sank my riverboat on the 11pt by myself...it was scary to say the least. When it gets cold I wear thermals, my bibs and my 100mph suit.I

Almost forgot about your incident on the 11pt.. Explain this 100mph suit? lol

Bass pro makes it. Gore Tex 100mph suit. Guaranteed to block winds up to 100mph, and they mean it. I wore it test driving a motorcycle last winter and it was good to 85mph. No insulation but blocks any and all win, and water resistant

I was getting a little worried about the weather, if we were talking teens to 20's in the mornings I probably would not go, but for right now it's looking like Friday will have a high of 42 or so. If that holds true then I still plan on coming.

I have a fair level of confidence in today's forecast and a decent amount of faith in the forecast for 48-72 hours out. I can't stop myself from looking at the 5 and 10 day forecast, but there is no point in getting upset or hopeful based on those forecasts. Too much can change for the good or the bad.

Everyone should be getting ready for the next handful of days. It isn't the zombie apocalypse, but I'd like to have my drive time be at a minimum.

Yep the date is still a ways out, weather could be different from the forecast. When I talked to the Rileys a few weeks ago, they wanted to be called a few days before we show up so that we can tell them how many are coming. So I'm thinking that next Tuesday we should get a poll of who is going for sure.

Took a look at ordering some of those jigs - they want a $44.00 minimum order. I don't need 4 dozen of them - I'll try and pick some up at Cranfield.

That was my thought too, find some somewhere and get a decent selection without going jack batty over them to start out with. That said I looked for them at three shops in Springfield and one in Branson and nobody had them.

I will gladly split an order with someone. Buying them at harps or cranfield is too expensive IMO. They are 5-6 bucks for 3.

**edit**

I looked at the package and a pack of 3 is $6.50.

Muddy - I just talked to the guy at Zig Jigs and he can get an order out today, he's got them in stock - but with the storm coming in we need to get them ordered today. I can get 4 dozen 1/8 and split them with you - what colors? If I don't hear form you soon, I'll just get some olive ones/ brown orange/ white gray.

I just placed an order with the Zig Jig company owner. I'm going to get 3 dozen 1/8 and 3 dozen 1/16. He saying that if the river remains low the 1/16 will work the best. He's going to make up an order of various colors that he recommends.

Some of you guys are bringing boats and some are bringing food, so this will be my contribution to the cause.
