LittleRedFisherman Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 It All Sounds Good To Me, I'mGame With AnyThing. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Old plug Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Winter storm electra is suppose to make your float even more fun.
hoglaw Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Phil, that sounds like a winner to me. The only caveat being that we need at least some water running through wildcat to run through it on the way up. That area gives me the willies. But it looks like we've had some generation continuously so it shouldn't be a problem. That's going to be a long cold boatride in the morning!!!! I'll be sufficiently bundled up, make sure you are too. Also, grab some life jackets. I have three in the boat I think, but they're cheap and not that comfortable. I always put mine on when I'm underway so you'd think I would have invested in a nice one by now. We definitely want to make sure we have plenty of wear-able life jackets to go around. So what I'm taking from this is I meet Phil at Cotter access at 7a.m. No problem. I don't know whether fog has been an issue on these cold mornings or not. If it's really foggy I'm not sure we'll want to run that far.
gotmuddy Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Sound good to me. I'm starting in mountain home tonight so I can be wherever, whenever. I just have to figure out how to get the brisket on the cooker at 3pm. Anyone care to bring buns? I have sauce and baked beans. Btw I am also bringing fish to grill Saturday. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 12, 2013 Root Admin Posted December 12, 2013 If there's any deviation from the plan, we have everyone's cell phone, or should be this evening. We can call and make adjustments- meeting times and places. Fog may be the biggest issue for sure. I'll bring a jacket or more if necessary and I have plenty of warm clothes.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 12, 2013 Root Admin Posted December 12, 2013 Not sure about the 3 pm meeting with the smoker... is it at the lodge? Can someone else put it on?

Dang I just got back from the store - maybe somebody else will get the buns, if not I can go back to the store this evening. I have 4 lbs. of Walmart Slaw and a couple of pounds of Walmart potato salad - probably enough for both nights.
Quillback Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 BTW, according to their web site, Riley's does not accept plastic. So bring cash or check.
gotmuddy Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 They do accept silver and gold. I am going to try to talk miles into putting the brisket on. 8pm a good time to eat for everyone? everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 12, 2013 Root Admin Posted December 12, 2013 I'll bring the buns... don't go back to the store.
