LittleRedFisherman Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 The wife had me out today Al, finishing Christmas shopping...lol. I understand where she's coming from, hope the weather improves up there, would love to meet you!! Guys while out today, did get my fixin's for the fish fry Saturday night, pretty much all set! One thing I didn't get was things like ketchup and tarter sauce, if someone wants to pick some of that up that would be great! Ham and Hoglaw, i'm gonna leave here pretty early, and try to be there by 8.30 or 9 Friday morning, got my cold raingear ready! I"ll holler at you Ham when i'm about half way there Friday morning, and we'll see what we need to do, i'll probably drop my boat of if it isn't needed then at Rileys, and go from there. Talk to ya'll soon!! Bret Quillback and Phil, are ya'll gonna fish together Friday? Didn't know if Phil was still making it early? From what there predicting here for the rain in NE AR, i'm thinking it may move out there sooner and be out before Friday's over, haven't seen the weather today. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Ham Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 The only little snag I see is that I'll have to help get my daughter's car out of the garage and driveway Friday morning. I've still got my fingers crossed that we'll see a lot of melting today and IF we don't I'm going to put out salt in select areas. I should still be on schedule UNLESS there is a problem I don't anticipate. GM, man I don't care too much about where we fish so we will look at water flows and make a group decision BY PHONE if possible. We can fish for a few hours and make a move IF we aren't happy with the results BUT the days are short as it is and a relocation does eat fishing time. Rim does offer an advantage that some bends in the river offer a bit of a wind break. HOPEFULLY, the wind stays under 10 mph. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Quillback Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I'll sign up for bringing the ketchup and tartar sauce - I can't eat fried fish without ketchup. I don't want anyone to wait around for me to show up at the cabins Friday afternoon, if someone is there with a boat that's great, but I'm just as happy taking some time to explore the area and take the dog for a long walk. There's a chance of some light freezing rain around here Friday morning, so I might not get going as early as I'd like.
gotmuddy Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 LRF, take special care on hwy 62 as there are some spots of ice. Heck my road(395) is still horrible. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

Ok, thanks Cody, wife and kids are still out of school here, the hill roads on Crowleys Ridge and the gravel roads are as bad as they were last week. Hopefully there will be some more melting today on the highways with the sun! I've got most all the phone numbers now, as I approach Mt. Home, i'll holler and try to get a plan for tomorrow!! You guys know a lot more about that part of the river than I do, whatever you think best to get on the action, i'm game!! Don't rush yourself Ham if there is patchy spots, i'll probably take my time, but hope to be there 9ish at rileys, i'll probably leave boat if needed and drop off the fish cooker. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

hoglaw Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Everyone please post your phone number if you haven't already. Mine is 479-9five7-8328. Generation schedule when posted tonight should give us a good idea of what water is doing. My original plan was to be at the river around 7 or 8 tomorrow morning, but I can hold back a little if y'all aren't going to get there until later. With the weather tomorrow, I think we should be using the buddy system and not fishing alone. I need a boat partner tomorrow morning.
LittleRedFisherman Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 bring your rain gear My only good raingear, is my waders and my duck coat, which works well, guess that's what i'm bringing. I looked at some of those suits from bass pro you got, they proud of them aren't they..lol. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Quillback Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 My cell is. I'd love to take you up on your offer Hoglaw, but I just won't be able to get there early.
