Al Agnew Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Yep, back from Montana and ready for the jerkbait bite...those leaves on the water probably limited the jerkbaits and made the jigs the best choice, I'll bet. I love November if the weather cooperates. Nice fish!
LittleRedFisherman Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Id say 19.5 on the middle pic? There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Gavin Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Thanks again even you Cgb;) By no cigar I meant that I missed 20 by that much Lrh. My second best ever from a Missouri stream. Mitch deserves the credit. He has been hunting big smallmouth for decades and he is darn good at it. Knows where, and how. Learned a lot about cold water river bass fishing in a very short time. Was fishing the wrong areas or fishing to fast when I tried it on my own.

Cold water smallmouth is something iv'e been working on for a few years now, it's when I have time to fish, so have tried to adapt. 19 inch is my biggest Ozark smallie so far, would love to break that coveted 20 this winter!! You guys get the itch to try some new water this winter down my way holler at me!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
