Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 18, 2013 Root Admin Posted November 18, 2013 I assume because there's no posts here says killing this weekend was tough? I bet it was extremely tough. I did not go. Will go Thursday to north Missouri where hopefully it's colder. This is great fishing weather though!!!
ScottK Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Warm and REALLY windy. Saw a couple but didn't shoot, gonna try to take a vacation day Thursday to go back out. Maybe wont have to spend half the time hanging on to the wildly swaying tree by then.
Dutch Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 My grandson took one of his buds to one of my farms on Sat. It was windy but they saw a few scrub bucks and a couple of does. There was a very dominant doe he wanted out of the herd. He let his bud shoot her. Today he went back and took a good 8 pt. While he was loading it in the truck he saw 4 does and a very large 10 pt. We want his genes in the pool.
countryred Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I was going to go up here in north Missouri, but mt knee decided it was time to cause issues. The wind and storms slow things down somewhat but some of my buds got some nice deer.
duckydoty Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 duckydoty deer camp went well down here in Branson West this year. We had 6 family member down and managed to tag 3 does and 2 bucks in the wind storms. Not as good as it could have been but can't really complain. Im tagged out and can concentrate on the up coming duck season. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
jdmidwest Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 The woods sounded like I was standing behind a jet turbine all day on Sunday. Saturday the mist was so bad in the morning my vision was worthless because of my glasses, the evening was when the jets started firing up. I passed on a doe and a fawn, too hot to work one up. This weekend looks nice, they should hang good for a few days and tenderize. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
jdmidwest Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Like I expected, opening weekend was 12% down in harvest from last year. Last year was the worst in 20 years. http://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/opening-weekend-deer-harvest-blown-away "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Jeff Olson Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Hey F&F, where have you been hunting ducks already? Kansas or upper mo. zones? have fun this sat!
Feathers and Fins Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 KS, MO and OK. Saturday should be interesting. I have scouted areas and found a great mixed bag to be had. I am putting out a very large spread of dicers and puddlers and hope to shoot that mixed bag. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
