redshad Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Got on the water at 10:00. Fished the midlake for first 3 hrs. 6 fish 1 keeper pretty slow. About 1:30 made run up to more the river parts of the lake the bite turned on arond 2. Fishiing the channel swing banks. I ended the day with 36, biggest 4lbs, i had 10-12 big whites included in the 36. All whites over 15 in. The largest white was 1/8 in short of 18 in. I threw a crankbait all day. I have been catching them really shallow flipping a jig. Spring time pattern but with the water cooling and dropping a little those fish have moved. The fish today were on more of a fall pattern fairly shallow but close to deep water. That all for now. Keep your hooks sharp and your line tight. Good fishing guys and BE SAFE!
Lifes2Short Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Thanks Redshad, maybe we can hit the water together one day.
Walcrabass Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Redshad, My Crankbait fishing has been terrible. Just wondering if you would give any information on what type/ color you were using. I agree wholeheartedly with the shallow Jig stuff. Walcrabass
redshad Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Walcarbass, I have not had much of a crankbait bite all fall until now. I love throwing cb in the fall. I have not been able to catch anything but little fish on the cb until now. I was throwing 2 baits. DT-6 Helsinki Shad and Bandit 200 chartruse black back. Get on a steep bank stay in 15 ft of water cast to the bank and crank. You should get bit. Dont let the wind bother you. Float down with the wind and run back up float by again if you hook up. Good Luck'
Lvn2Fish Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 The bandit 200 has been good to me too. I've been burning it. Pretty much reeling it as fast as a 6:3:1 reel will let you.
Ham Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I'd love a day like that about now. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
