There will be a one loss SEC champ..... a one loss second place team cannot jump them, even if it's Alabama.

a lot could depend on the pending law suit/arrest of the Florida State QB. But I am guessing the amount of $$ being distributed will result in a ruling not being made until late January.

Actually OTF it can happen in the votes.

I really, really hope not. If so, then does winning a conference championship actually mean anything?

The so called "experts" tend to think Alabama is out of the title race altogether (barring something unforeseen. I'm just working on that premise.

They should be. The only way I could see them coming back would be losses by FSU and OSU and , well????

AL got there extra day when they got to play LSU for the title. Lets face it, one out of two doesn't make you a champion. The game should have been between LSU and Okla State. The unbiased computer rankings had it that way.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I don't think we can, or should, jump an undefeated OSU.

If we beat Auburn in the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship we should politely bow to Ohio State? Did you watch the OSU-Michigan tangle? It was like watching the JV game with Auburn-Bama and Mizzou-A&M the varsity. The level of play is not even close.

They will be 25-0 over two seasons if they beat MSU (not a foregone conclusion by any stretch.) That, in my opinion, absolutely cannot go unrewarded. It's tough to say for a Mizzou fan, but it would just seem wrong.

Anyway, I don't really care a whole lot about the title talk. Just beat Auburn. If everything else falls right, I'll take it. If not, an SEC title is an amazing goal in its own right.

Wayne, I agree with you, the vast majority of football fans would probably not tolerate another SEC west runner up Alabama in the title game. They had that fall their way one time and I don't see it happening again. Frankly even as an SEC fan I think that never should have happened the first time. The Tide will probably end up in the BCS, though, if any bowl can fit them in (and they'll find a way, I bet.)

This much I can say, if Ohio faces Florida, Auburn, Mizz, Bama or Oklahoma in the National Championship I probably wont watch as they will get stomped. Yes they have the deserving record for them to be there but I seriously doubt they can beat any top tier team. If they face FL which I think they will then what Bama did to ND last year will look like a competition in compare. Ohio doesn't have doesn't have a team that can beat a truly good team. They haven't had to face anyone so far with any serious rank. Michigan is the 7th at #10 and could beat them and I hope they do as I would like to see the NC be a game worth watching.

Florida has faced 3 ranked team and blown them all out! A Florida Mizz game would be real good IMO as Mizz stopped A&M and I actually think they could stop Florida, Auburn also could. Either of those matching's would make for a fun game.

I don't like where Mizz fell in the standings beating 5 ranked teams should have moved them to #3 as Auburn only beat 4 ranked teams. I think to much was put on them beating bama.

Interestingly if we were a year ahead the top 4 are suppose to play 1v4 2v3 in playoffs. It would be Bama v Florida... Auburn v Ohio then the National championship and It could likely be Bama v Auburn how furious would fans be to see SEC v SEC again and its a real potential as typically the SEC has 3 to 5 teams in the top 10.

I don't like the rankings at all, if OSU and FSU win out it appears they will play in the NC. I'm hoping one of them loses this coming week and we can get the winner of the SEC in the NC game.
