dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 appear to be glass...definetly not brass tacks... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
fishinwrench Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Here's an ad 'supposedly' from 1927 (no nose tie) so yours may be the real deal.
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks...that is what I have... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 ...hmmmm..with inflation, a 1923 dollar would be worth much more than a 2013 dollar...just sayin... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
fishinwrench Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Gas was .15/gal then. So buying that CC bait for a buck in '27 would be the same as paying 24.00 for a lure today. So what's so bad about 18.00-25.00 jerkbaits? Seems right inline to me.
Jerry Rapp Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 ebay shows several listed. Completed ebay auctions seem to average out around at $30 to $50.
dennis boatman Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 I was actually thinking of ebaying it... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Brian K. Shaffer Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 sell it on Joe's... www.joesoldlures.com i moved a ton of lures there.. they are collectors Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 All this for an old dollar plug? My dad bought me this in the early 50's and it was so unique I was afraid to fish it. You can't see the line tie, but it is a loop of wire and when it's jerked the legs kick. It's called a Jensen Frog Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
