I don't think it is the water absorption that makes fluro line sink. Water wouldn't sink in water right? I think I read that fluro is more dense than water. I like it because it was minimal stretch when under light loads and I can feel bites better, BUT I'm cool with folks throwing their jerkbaits on mono.

A dry wash rag doesn't sink either, but a wet one sure will... Water absorbing into another material tends to become heavier than the water and less buoyant, therefore it sinks

I put stuff like stic worms and other trick worms in my jerk bait catagory. I do not care for flukes a heck of a lot. I use them sometimes in the open. Around docks they tend to flip away a bit from the edge of the dock sometimes and I do not like that. its like moving out of the target area to me. I had alot of luck last fall using those straight sinko worms hooked through the end. ation is a bit different but the worm sure last a lot longer.
