Iclass Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I don't think it is the water absorption that makes fluro line sink. Water wouldn't sink in water right? I think I read that fluro is more dense than water. I like it because it was minimal stretch when under light loads and I can feel bites better, BUT I'm cool with folks throwing their jerkbaits on mono. A dry wash rag doesn't sink either, but a wet one sure will... Water absorbing into another material tends to become heavier than the water and less buoyant, therefore it sinks
Old plug Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I put stuff like stic worms and other trick worms in my jerk bait catagory. I do not care for flukes a heck of a lot. I use them sometimes in the open. Around docks they tend to flip away a bit from the edge of the dock sometimes and I do not like that. its like moving out of the target area to me. I had alot of luck last fall using those straight sinko worms hooked through the end. ation is a bit different but the worm sure last a lot longer.
