James I thought Bama would win until I saw OU come out with the Run and Gun offense then I knew they were screwed. Bama has been given fits by that style the last two years and Saban hates it with a passion and has not adjusted and built a D-line that could stand it. OU is a very good team and adaptable and when I saw their scheme I knew Bama was going to loose.

Mizz should win. But im looking forward to the NC. The master of the run and gun in Gus v Florida. Gus knows how to play it and defend against it. If AU comes out and gets a early lead I bet he goes to his power running game to slow the tempo if not watch out for his air-raid. I don't know if FL can defend against both especially if AU gets the early lead. But does look to be a good game.

Don't know what Auburn team you have been watching all year but they are not a run and gun offense. They are a run and run offense. They run the majority of their plays out of about 10 formations all stemming from the triple option. Yes it is an EXTREMELY uptempo running attack that will wear a defense down if they keep moving the chains. They are a run first, run 2nd and pass 3rd if they must...but maybe run. You stop their rushing attack you have a chance. If you let them run all over you...gonna be a long day for FSU's defense. Just ask Mizzou who got stomped for over 400 yards rushing against them in that SEC Championship game. Mizzou up until that point had one of the better rush defenses in the country and Mizzou's best rush D in YEARS and YEARS and YEARS. I still think FSU wins this ball game. Have been the most consistently dominant team all year long even if they aren't from the SEC.

As long as FSU doesn't try to stop the run with only 3 down lineman like Mizzou did, they should win. I thought that was a horrible gameplan against Auburn only using 3 DL. You can't expect to stop the run like that.

100% right. Terrible approach trying to stop Auburn like that. I was yelling through the TV at Pinkel to run a 4-4 or even a 5-3. Like I have always said...Pinkel can recruit but he just isn't that great on the X's and O's of the game, especially on defense.

Being a Florida State fan from back in the 80s when I spent 3 years in Pensacola, I have to say that I hope Fisher learned something from Mizzou's failure to stop the Auburn running game. The Noles definitely have some great athletes. It's just going to come down to coaching and execution, especially on defense. Should be a good game. So should tonight's MIzzou-Okla. St. and Clemson-Ohio St. clashes.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeze let Clemson beat Ohio St. so we don't have to hear any more Big 10 boo-hooing about how they're under-rated and disrespected until next September. There are very few people in whom I take greater pleasure seeing LOSE than Urban Meyer.

x 2 on every word of this. ESPECIALLY the trash talk on the Big 10. Cry babies. You don't like to get trashed in the ratings then beef up your conference with actually quality schools or play a hard non-conference schedule to make up for the weak competition. I didn't care either way about Urban Leyer until he cited heart complications or a stroke or whatever as a way to get out of Gainesville right after his golden goose Tebow left. Then like 2 years later he is back coaching again at Ohio St? Ummm ok. Guess that heart thing was just a joke/ploy?
