I had a gift card from BassPro so i stopped at the Olathe BPS while visiting relatives over the last two days. The Live Target baitball lures in crankbaits and jerkbaits were all gone from the shelves at the price of $14.99. Quillback had a post on the 30th about these lures and i was just wondering did anyone else buy any since then or have you had a chance to throw them? The salesman there said they can't keep them in stock.

I'm a sucker for baits, but for once I have no interest.

I'm waiting for abkeenan's review. :D

Gonna be a little while before I break it out. Don't do much fishing Dec-Feb. What can I say I am a wimp. Needs to be at least 45+ degrees to get out and fish IMO. Should be able to get down there in mid March as I need to install an Elite 4 on the console and HDS 7 on the bow. If that doesn't take too long I might be able to get that Glass Minnow bait ball wet.

I was just looking at the jerkbaits on the Tacklewarehouse website, except for one size in one color, they are all sold out.

You made me laugh. It needs to be at least 20' if it's sunny and still. I'd prefer > 32' if it's gonna be rainy or windy (or both). I do want the water temp to be at least 33' all the time.

Ya. They were on pre-order FOREVER on TW. I am sure whatever shipment they got in immediately when out to all the pre-orders on a first come first serve basis and went immediately right out of stock again. I just happened to walk down the isle at BPS with no intention of getting anything and saw they had them on the shelf and I just had to have one for kicks. Now if Duckett could just get on the ball with their Ghost series rods I am looking to pick one up for deep cranking.

Sad thing is I am pretty serious. I love fishing and all...but if it is below 40 or nasty.....the cozy couch watching football or basketball easily trumps fishing.

easily trumps fishing.

Blasmepher ! We all have responsibilities, but when you have the chance to go, very little should trump fishing.

While this is true...it is null and void if the temp is below 40 degrees.
