fishinwrench Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Dogknotted !.....dam the luck. Whatever you do, Honey, PLEASE don't jump that fence.
bfishn Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 At least he's gittin; some. :-( Some stakes at 1' intervals sure help interpreting critter caliber. Paint inch marks on them if you're so inclined. I can't dance like I used to.
Buzz Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 House cat or a feral cat. Either way I don't see anything that suggests Cougar or Bobcat. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
drs7558 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Why would you set your "deer cam" , trail camera, up, to shoot through all that brush?
Members costanza Posted February 23, 2014 Members Posted February 23, 2014 Your buddy needs a pic of himself in the same spot, then overlay the two pics to get a size perspective.
Old plug Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I was looking at this picture very closely and if you do that you will see a bit of darker coloration on the tail and hind quarters. I think it is a Tiger srtiped cat house or feral cat. my daughter has a big Tom that hits the scale at 20 lbs and not fat on him.
navery Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Overlay is the best way to provide a scale of size. Unless it is missing part of its tail, in my opinion, this is not a cougar, but could be a rare bobcat of sorts. More likely feral or a pet. Would love to see overlay to get a sense of scale though. They are making a comeback and have ranges closer than most would think.
Old plug Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 well he is not a 100+ lb'er like the one running around here last summer or the other one that size running around in west st Louis county 2 yrs ago.
