Pour Dennis Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I was gonna go out for a few hours after church today, but with the wind howling like it is, I think I will work on some things around the house.
Dutch Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Also too crazy windy for me. I'm spending today watching NFL.
Quillback Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Too windy for me to fish, then the power went out so I missed most of the Carolina/Niner game - can't fish, could not watch football - the double whammy!
Feathers and Fins Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Great day for getting all the fishing rigs tied up, dangerous day to be on the lakes. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
duckydoty Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Had a good day down on Taney catching trout, crappie and bass. Got out of the wind behind the fish house and had a blast catching small mouth, large mouth, crappie, and trout. I imagine TR was rough today. rps Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I felt better than I had in days. I had to go out. I lasted a bit over an hour. Hard to control the boat in that stuff.
Sore Thumbs Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Same here. I fished Beaver this morning. Dead slick at 7. Then turned really windy after 9. I really struggled today. I tried Indian creek and it was too clear for my taste. Nice to be on the water. Got to see several bald eagles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Members Whit Warriors Posted January 13, 2014 Members Posted January 13, 2014 Wind is my friend! Put in at Aunts and caught 2 Kentuckys right off the bat on the War Wagle white spoon. Moved to the White river and my partner caught one on the Arig. Wind was really blasting us so we moved back to Aunts, fished the big channel swing bluffs up river from Aunts and found schooling Kentuckys. Caught them all on the Arig, several shorts with 3 keepers. A lot better day than yesterday. Another awesome day in an Ozark lake!!
hknfsh Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Hey Ducky....at Taney...what did you catch the bass on ? Heard there was a good bite going on around the wall.
duckydoty Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 We caught them on brown and orange marabou trout jigs. Watched a couple of fellas crushing the bass population last week along a bluff using A-rigs. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
