Moswimb8slinger Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 the deepest was 20 ft next to a bluff bank. most of the time its less than 5ft under the surface. I did lose one s-waver to a log early on when I first started using them, but that's it.
abkeenan Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Richie, Awesome pics from catches throughout the year. Couple of questions: do you prefer a single joint (S-Waver) over say a multiple joint swim bait? Do you see a difference in quality/size of fish from the 168S to the 200 sizes in the R2S S-Waver? Was thinking of getting one and was wondering your thoughts on the 2 sizes. Also was that fish you caught in the pic with KVD caught on a swim bait? Awesome pic there with you and KVD at the OBBT. Thanks for any info you are willing to share.
abkeenan Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 all u need is deps 250 Doctor! Ha. No way will I EVER spend that much $ on a single bait.
huntest Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Richy which River2sea 168 and 200 lure color is working best for you on TR?
Champ188 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Ha. No way will I EVER spend that much $ on a single bait. Here we go! I'm gonna buy three and send one each to Fish24/7, Hughesy and Rob at Fall Creek Lures to get them to strip off the factory paint and put custom paint jobs on them.

Hey I am no cheap skate and I will pay $12 bucks for a SPRO bait, $15 + for a Lucky Craft or even around $25 for a Jackall or others. But that is where I draw the line. Paying $100+ or even $400 for a bait is just insane. Are $10 baits better than $1 baits in the bargain bin? Most of the time yes. But is a $400 bait better than and $25.....I really don't think so. A lot of times guys want to pull things out of their pants to see whose is bigger....bigger wallet that is....lol. Someone is always willing to pay for the "very best" or most expensive latest and greatest out there and the bait companies like Roman Made and others prey on this. More power to them but this sucker will never pay that much for a single lure.....especially since I didn't win the Powerball over the weekend.

Be sure and post pics once you get them back.
Champ188 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I'm with ya, abkeenan. I pretty much have a $30 shutoff switch myself, and I haven't paid that much for a bait in at least a couple of years. Occasionally, I just have to have a new Megabass Vision 110 or something along those lines, but that's the ceiling for me. My line about buying the 3 swimbaits and having them custom painted was in reference to the little fray we had here the other day over a certain member poo-pooing basically everything that costs more than he thinks is reasonable.
Moswimb8slinger Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Party Crasher and Warden are good S-waver colors, I've seen a River2sea rep throw blue herring too. Caught some more TR black bass during this cold front/ snowstorm. Was using the s-waver 200 party crasher and the BBZ1Jr 6inch in lavender shad (floater and slow sink)
