jay bird Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 So thinking about getting a new bass boat close to 20 ft and 200 hp plus just wondering what everyone thought was the best bang for the buck. Thanks Jason
Dutch Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I've been impressed with the Phoenix boats that I have seen. But I'm still a Bass Cat fan.
jolicious Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 First choice: Legend Second choice: Legend There is no third choice ;-)
Jerry Rapp Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I got a box of popcorn bags we can nuke, and can run down to the gas station and get a cold one. Anyone want to join me as the loyalists brag about their boats?
96 CHAMP Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 whatever happened to champion boats, what was the cause for the demise of the boat??
Members Classic Posted January 26, 2014 Members Posted January 26, 2014 Best bang for the buck is a 18'8" boat. Not a 20 footer with a 225.
rps Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 All right people. Let's hear it. Skeeter? Triton? Ranger? Tracker? You need to step up! Then one of us tin boat types can throw in a snide remark.
Alex Heitman Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 All of te big name boats are good in my opinion. It basically comes down to personal preference and what you want to spend. That being said inwould have to say a nitro z-9 or z-8
Old plug Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I think if your boat is what you like its the best boat. We allhave our preferences. I f on the other hand you want to impress your friends and spend 35-40 K thats OK to. Trouble is someone else is going to get one nicer and then you will not be happy with yours. 96 CHAMP I think what happened is one of the major designers or something for Champion split off and established Phoenix. the first models looked just like Champions.
jay bird Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 I guess I was wondering the difference in quality and longevity if I was going to spend the money. Like nitro vs ranger for example. This would be a boat I have for at least the next 10 years.
