Stump bumper Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I am betting there will be stripers in the back of Monte that will hit jerk baits.
Feathers and Fins Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I am betting there will be stripers in the back of Monte that will hit jerk baits. NO BET, I marked them there yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
JohnF52 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The cabin fever is terrible; I don't tolerate the cold very well, never have, so I don't usually fish in the winter.
David Unnerstall Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Yeah...the Fish Stocking Hotline claimed January-Wabash was stocked on Tuesday and Thursday the week before last -- a double stocking. I went there the next Saturday and it was iced over. You can see where MDC broke the ice to dump the fish. My heart was broken. There were more than 800 trout (my tax dollars) underneath the ice and I couldn't do any thing about it. I assume the ice has thickened, by now, but I doubt a guy would be allowed out on the ice with an auger. Yeah I do have cabin fever. I pick up a rod out of my rack and hold it for a spell once or twice a day.
Quillback Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I'm starting to feel like I'm coming down with something - I think it's cabin fever - I'm seeing freezing rain falling outside - this crap is finally getting to me...
J-Doc Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 "I've got a fever. And the only cure is more cowbell. I need more cowbell!" Lol!! ness Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Bird season is over, football is done. This is the crummiest time of the year. About the only thing I've got going on is getting some seeds started for the garden. I need to get my butt down to the Jungle Room and finish up a fl yrod I started a while back, tie some flies, and maybe get some poppers and/or cranks going. The video fishinwrench posted in the bass fishing thread got the blood pumping. John
Feathers and Fins Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Im doing boat work, map work, tying up deathrigs and bottom bouncer rigs and lots of leaders and writing a article on walleye fishing beaver lake. Im ok for a few more days myself. But my wife is a teacher and its getting ugly with them looking at more days added on to the calendar. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
