Nancy and I are planning our first ever 4th of July party at school. Today is the 14th school day lost to snow so far this year. The remainder of the week is looking iffy.

14 Days??? Where are you? I don't think I've ever heard of that many snow days anywhere.

Looks like about 4-6 outside, but I'm not gonna go verify that just yet. Chikin and dumplins t-minus 10 minutes.

Nancy and I teach at Eureka Springs. Today was snow day 14. Tomorrow (already called off) is day 15. We made up 1 day with Martin Luther King, Jr. day. We made up another with a Saturday school last week end. We have 2 more Saturday schools planned, but that leaves us with 11 make up days - not counting what we may lose from here on out.

For any of you guys down there who have not really experienced a St Louis ice storm( looks like that is whats about to happen there. Let me tell you your in for it. the rain will sink into the tops of the plowed snow piles. If you hit one of them it is like hitting a wall. Far worse than snow cover

I would think the Eureka Springs school district would have a lot of snow days this year - all those hilly and curvy roads.

Ness, we are looking at about 9-ish here.

Andy, I think 9 is about where we ended up. I heard 13 in Manhattan.

rps -- Eureka Springs doesn't make the news much in KC. I had no idea you guys were getting it that much down there. Like Quill said -- those curvy, hilly roads would be tough! Have a good day off
