J-Doc Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 CANNOT beat an inline spinner for whites. Cast far and if reeled in at the right speed per weight, they shouldn't snag on the bottom either. Do you remember that old white lipless crankbait you were catching a lot of fish on from your old boat (the Hornet) between War Eagle and your house several years back? It was in late summer and you were catching them in buckbrush. That's what you need. White.......just plain white with some sparkles and grey to dark grey back. Need marine repair? Quillback Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Getting closer I think?20140204_080235.jpg Very nice!
fishinwrench Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 This is the bread/butter where I come from. Some days, depending on water color, other color patterns excel, but day in and day out chart/wht with some sparse pearly flash always gets the job done.
jolicious Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 I bet whites on fly tackle is a blast!
J-Doc Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (sigh - longing to go fishing) Wrench...... I'm warning you now. When it warms up (if it ever does), I'm coming up for a white bass bonanza! I need to get the motor tuned-up for the summer. I might as well make the trip when it's warm so we can go fishing afterwards and have fun! Need marine repair? Wayne SW/MO Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 The last one looks good. I would do them all like that with hint of chartreuse, blue or yellow. I would make it a transparent overlay on the back. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Only downside is that I'll probably infect you heavily with the FFing virus and your wife is gonna bar you from my presence completely.
Feathers and Fins Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I bet whites on fly tackle is a blast! Joe I have plenty of tackle just say when. Justin Spencer Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Fly fishing for whites can be addictive. Mix in a few hybrids and you'll eventually end up dead on the shore with a clouser stuck in your arm.
