crittermo Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I was looking around and found the Bassin Bob website that is promoted with Robin's Resort. It seems to be entirely about LOZ. Does anyone have an opinion on whether it is worth it or not to pay 45 bucks for a pro prescription? There is also a free prescription but it doesn't seem to give you any real help or information. Thanks
Members Jim Y Posted February 13, 2014 Members Posted February 13, 2014 If you like to fish for bass on LOZ, then this website is great for you. It is worth $100 per year instead of the $45 subscription to be a full member. However, it is only about bass fishing on LOZ, not crappie or catfish.
fishinwrench Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 There are some good sticks giving reports there, and those guys aren't gonna tell lies or make stuff up. I'd say that if you want some TIMELY intel without having to filter through a bunch of BS then it could be worth every penny. It is no more expensive than typical Bass Club dues....and you won't have to sit through a bunch of boring @$$ meetings. If I was still competing I would at least wanna know someone who monitors the chatter there that would fill me in if anything potentially helpful was being shared. I guess if you wanted to you could split a membership with a couple of buddies and do weekly screenshots. I'm sure that's the norm.
Blazerman Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 i thought i saw on there you could do a monthly thing where you don't pay for the whole year. i was thinking about doing a couple months now before the Big Bass Bash, They seem to tailer a lot of the info towards that event. Saw where guys are posting where and how they caught their fish that won them some money.
Members Jim Y Posted February 13, 2014 Members Posted February 13, 2014 The truth is that the daily fishing reports done by Bob are accurate, detailed and very helpful. Until the lake iced over, Bob went fishing about 5 days each week and did a full report on each day's fishing.
Old plug Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I do not know him or what they do i was told he is a hustler. If your paying for reportsif they are even a day late they might not be helpful. but i guess if your up someplace away from here it is better than flying blind. i think it is over priced. I think there is a store someplace. you know where it is wrench. ??
fishinwrench Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Robin's is just up the Glaize from the bridge, on the East side.
Members Bassing Bob Posted February 17, 2014 Members Posted February 17, 2014 First let me introduce myself, Bob Bueltmann, owner and founder of Bassing Bob. Old Plug, I have no idea why you would call me a hustler, I don't even have a clue who you are and have never met you. To everyone else, I have built software companies for the ppast 30 years and retired to the lake at the end of 2012 due to my passion for bass fishing. While I am an average fisherman, the intent of the website is to provide up to date information from my daily fishing as well as from some of the best experts that bbbass fish at LOZ. My goal has been to create a one stop web site with fresh information that you need to know for bass fishing at Lake of the Ozarks. I have invested heavily in the website and have developed incredible relations with some of the best fisherman at the lake, fishing clubs, fishing tournament trail organizers, local business leaders, chamber of commerce's, etc., For you Old Plug, you either have the wrong person to call me a hustler or you just need some attention. Crittermo, please send me an me your email address through the Bassing Bob website and I will provide you with a free promo code to be a Pro Member. I just ask that after you review the site, you add your comments to this forum as to whether you feel the site is of value. To all others tthat have replied to Old Plugs allegations with support, I appreciate it very much. We have hundreds of testimonials that have also been complimentary of the web site. Again, just trying to help the bass fisherman with information. Thanks again. bob
Smalliebigs Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hahahaha......Bob I think your assessment of Oldplug is right on. I used your site for a time and I can say it's they only one I have ever seen with such current and fresh info as you said. Kudos to you for standing up for yourself and your product.....I found your site to quite informative when I used it.......now Oldplug will come on here and say he doesn't need any website info to go catch bass at the lake with his Shakespeare Uglystick rods and 15 inch worms......he lives there and catches several over 5 to 6 pounds every year.
