Anybody know what this is? Caught him on the Big River on a 1/8oz marabou jig head. Think it might be a carp sucker of some sort but not positive.

In most lakes it's called "dinner" (if you're a predatory fish). If you're a striper, it's called "Candy"

Gizzard shad. I've only caught them on crappie jigs during the cold weather periods of the year. Maybe the lack oh plankton drives them to get aggressive. They stink. Slimey devils. Good catfish bait though.

Hard to tell how big it is, but unless that's a really small net, that's a heft gizzard shad. MO record is 1 lb. 6 oz. for a 'pole and line' caught gizzard.
