Members Haulin Bass Posted February 27, 2014 Members Posted February 27, 2014 (* We call em "Sexy Shad") The color I mean. If you look at "crank baits" Bomber/Rapalla/ XL, they all have Tennessee Shad, or Gizzerd Shad and they are similar in color. In the Flicker Shad, I used one that looked like a little Rainbow trout, I wouldn't say "Clown" colored, but i used (2) one with some black on top, and pink on the bottom. (like a rainbow) And the other was white in the middle with brightgreen on top. (* If you see "Sexy Shad" in other brands, that's the Flicker color that worked best!) AND YES,,,, they are cheep too! (LOVE EM)
Old plug Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I noticed something for finesse fishing at PBS a week or so ago they now sell wacky or sinko worms that are just 3 inches long. I suppose they are suppose to be fro crappie but i think they would do real well on the small jig like they use on the ned rig.
Goggle-Eyed Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Old Plug, I have been using those small 3" stick's for about 8 years. Usually with a pegged sinker or on a jig head... Granted it was long before it was cool enough to be called a "ned rig"... They work great for picking up Kentucky's on the lake and smallies and goggle eye on the river....
