Yep what Bill says, if you can find them, there may be more than one. Also there were a lot of boats up the White yesterday, it's getting hit hard.

What is the scientific reason why we're seeing the shad kill in KC area and not in upper lake?

Water temp. and bait numbers. The lower lake has a lot more shad.

All my fish the last 3 weeks, however being caught are spitting crayfish. The big fish yesterday litterly had its mouth full of crawdads, and spit a tea cup of them in the boat.

This would make everyone think wiggle wart, but these fish are coming from 20 to 35 feet. Yes there are crawfish down there. Not going to get a wart down there, so the rig and the jig are the deal. Oh ya and the Tube.

Going to be a lot of nice cold boat rides up the White. Count me with the "recreational" folks who can drive up and put in with more civility.

That buck had to be a serious old timer. Goodness.

QB, I saw a single in a white and black trim with a opti on it and it was heading toward Big M at around 3: from downstream. It had marking like a Intro or alike. Was that you?. I have noticed how consistent you are with the tube rig. It looks to me like you could limit every time out, just according to how much time you put in out there. I am certainly impressed with your techniques and prowess, especially when us locals around here aren't even going out because of weather and wind. My compliments sir!

That was probably me. Quill has a darker duel. He is a local for sure. We claim his as one of our own.

Thanks Hazbin, I'm fortunate to be retired and can put time in on the water, I'm just an average hack, guys like Bill Babler and some of the regulars that have been fishing that area for a while can always remind me of how much more I have to learn.

You must have seen someone else, I was out of the water at 1:30. I've got a black/silver Phoenix with a 200 Opti. Feel free to stop by and say hi if you see me out there.

For the next couple of weeks Quill we are going to need to get a different wrap everyday, just to stay incognito. As if any one really cared what we are up to.

Way to windy for me today, but will be out tomorrow. Temp here at the lodge is 75 and the wind is blowing the bark off the logs.

There are easy 4 ft. waves coming across Clevenger Branch, and I have seen at least 20 boats come by this morning. Lake is full, but with this kind of wind down here way to dangerous for me.

Probably could get out of it, but just not any fun at all.

Good Luck

Maybe that warm wind with get those surface/waer temps up quicker and get them going on the jerk bait soon. All the reports are great but I love a good report of someone just wearing the paint off a jerker.
