Guest Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Flip tail was the brand. At some point in the 80's they became Whopper Stopper/Flip tail. After that I believe they were available (lizards at least) from a TX company, might have been Honey Hole. A 100ct of blue flip tails was the first bulk bag of worms I ever purchased, from the BPS catalog in maybe 1984/5 or so. My dad had a box of 1,000 hijacker worms back in the. 80's. They were transparent green, no flake and 7-8". Hijacker and fliptail were very similar. They float and were super duper on a Carolina rig. We caught untold numbers of. 4-8lb bass on those hijackers. My high school buddies would pay me to steal a handful from my dad's stash. Good times
Bluff-Bassin Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gambler_Ledge_Worm/descpage-GLDGW.html#multiview Great option for TR and BS when you want a big profile with finesse style action.
Old plug Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 The 11 inch ledge worm looks pretty good. I will look around for them at pro bass when I go to springfield in a few weeks. I never buy a plastic bait unless Incan see it in the bag and feel it. even then i sometimes wont like it. all brands of plastic worms are not the same even if they appear the same. some are more buoyant than others, tuffet, etc. I do need some some straight worms this size. I need to work them into my presentation. Like i have said on here before my presentation is always with the lightest possible weight need to get it there. I rarely use more than 1/4 oz and sometimes no weight.
