Wayne SW/MO Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I always questioned the wisdom of forcing thousands to replace their boots because a few might fish tainted waters. I'm sure felt would be the best carrier, but I imagine laces and drain grommets wouldn't be far behind. I think education and herbicide baths in key areas would have been easier and smarter. People like Wrench and I have no reason to worry and I know we aren't alone. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Krazo Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 regardless of what you believe, the fact is state regulations ban felt soles. thats just the way it is. if you don't like it or you disagree with it, it doesn't make it okay to disregard it. Our MDC modifies and changes state regs on an annual basis, i'd suggest contacting them as well as your local TU organization rather than blatantly disregarding our state wildlife codes. As a sportsman who willfully violates wildlife codes you give a bad name to all sportsman. & i'm pretty sure its liberalism that felt soles spread these days.

I still think the banning of felt is unproven and overkill. The continued absence of Didymo in NFOW IS NOT a confirmation that banning felt soles works any more that it's proof that non felt soles prevent an elephant infestation.
