I dont know anything about ipads but i think it is a sensitivity issue.We bought 3 android phones and one of the phones would do crazy stuff.I would hold my finger just above the screen and it would call someone or turn an app on.One of my laptops would act crazy every now and then.I would wake up and there would be a hundred windows open.The problems went away when i disabled my touchpad on the laptop.I think with all touch devices something like static sensitivity is going to happen to one of them from time to time.Try to find the thickest screen protector you can find and that might lower the sensitivity.Or get the external keyboard like people above mentioned...But i do like some of the words yours comes up with(randomlyccesibility).Thats a good one

Thank everyone I am on the New Apple now. I will just read off the IPad from now on. My neighbor thinks the problem comes from something at Whiteman AFB. Although the wart hogs play around here all the time. I do not think it is that. Its to far.
