Wharfrat, nice boat. Are you planning on using it in the Big Bass Bash next weekend? We will be the Thursday next week and stay through Sunday to fish the BBB. Hopefully we can get into some of the crappie you and others have been talking about as well.

funny you should ask. I don't normally bass fish, but last fall during the BBB, I caught some bass that would have been really close to the money. I never did weigh them, but one bass was in the 19" range. I caught them verticle jigging a 16oz or 32oz jig next to docks.

So who knows, maybe I'll give it a try. Seems like when I do bass fish, all I catch is 10-13" bass.

Yeah I like the format of the BBB because people like me who don’t fish for bass that often in a big reservoir can maybe get lucky enough to catch one big one in two days of trying. I figure I could probably not catch 5 decent bass to compete in a regular tournament but catching one, maybe I can do. Kind of like the blind squirrel and the acorn thing.

My partner and I have managed to get one that paid off each time so far and have managed to cover our entry fee and some of the other expenses.

And who knows, maybe this is the year we will get lucky enough to get a really big one and cash one of the top prizes. I sure everyone who enters thinks the same thing.
