Members big blue fever Posted March 17, 2014 Members Posted March 17, 2014 just wanted to see if anyone had any luck with spoonbill
oneshot Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Kind of wondering the same. I went only one time in the past and was told it was matter of fish getting over the Lock. Which they hadn't at the time. oneshot
Seth Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I haven't heard anything yet. Everybody is saying the spoonbill are still out in the Missouri River right now and haven't started running at all. The water was only 52 a week ago and I wouldn't be surprised if it was below 50 again with the temps we have had.
fishinwrench Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I have no info on the Osage below Bagnell but there was a pod of big ones found all the way down by Porter mill bend a couple days ago, and they were still there yesterday. Suspended at 12'-16' during mid-day. Sounds like bigger ones there than what's being caught around and above Proctor.
Seth Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Man that is way down river! The farthest I have been down was the Mallard Bay area. I'm curious to see what the Oar House weights are this weekend. I'm guessing they will be a lot lower than the past few years. If things don't change soon, we are going to have to run a long ways down river during Snagmasters to do any good.
Hog Wally Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Are they still down in the Missouri River ? Are they stacking up somewhere ?? That's where I wanna go
fishinwrench Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Maybe when/if they step up the flow then the nasty shovelheads will move on up further???? I dunno. Spoonbill aren't a fish that I give much of a crap about. LOL
Hog Wally Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I was kinda talking about all the species that wound make a spawn run.
Hog Wally Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Is anyone going on osage this weekend for any kind of fish? I'll be out Sunday and I'll let all know what I encounter. Gotta get the heck away from this muddy meramec
fishinwrench Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 There is a decent bunch of spoonbill in the deep hole (river-left) just below the boat ramp. You may not even need a boat.
