Members akdoc Posted April 7, 2014 Members Posted April 7, 2014 Brutal for me and my dad. We fished around 32-45MM and only had 1 decent fish at 3.6. MattS, what did your buddy catch it on and what part of the lake?? Not looking for GPS coords or anything just something general. Good for him!
Blazerman Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 My partner and I were there Thursday through Sunday. Tried to prefish Thursday but with all the rain and tornadoe sirens going off we spent most of the day on the condo dock. But during the short time we were able to fish, we both caught some bass including a couple around 4lbs. Ended up catching a bunch of really nice crappie off the dock. Friday we got to bass fished all day and caught a few more bass including a 5.5 on a spinnerbait. We were fishing back in the Grand Glaize. We found water temps around 49 by the bridge but 51 to 53 back in the GG. Then we came back and caught some more nice crappie off the dock. Saturday we went right back to the cove where we caught the 5.5 and got there at 6:15 and there was already 4 boats there. We tried to fish but ended up going out to try some points. We caught some bass here and there on jerkbaits and a spinnerbait but nothing big or close to 4lbs. Sunday we decided to head out to the Osage to try and get away from all the boat traffic but still only had a couple small bass. We ended up with two bags of big crappie filets but nothing to show for the tournament. The guy who caught the biggest bass said he caught it all the way back in the Gravois arm fishing a jig and trailer flipping alongside the 54 bridge pier. Second big bass came from the Gravois as well and was caught on a Texas rigged soft plastic. Think he said some kind of tube.
