In the 2nd pic is that the camera guy holding a pole against the dock to keep the boat off of it (

No. I think it's a go pro mounted on a rod to get footage with out being in he way as much, or underwater.

Nope, Denny, he had several poles that had GoPro cameras on them. He had 2 of the big cameras and at least several GoPro cameras. He also had two other follow boats, one with 3 guys with huge still cameras like you would see at a NFL game and the other boat was a boat that the camera man would get out of Mike's boat and jump in from time to time for other video footage.

That camera man worked from the time he got in the boat till the time he got out. On Mike's boat, I don't think he was worried about it getting scratched on either the dock or in the rocks. Those boats are nothing more than platforms for them to fish. I would say if they got to ram it into anything to win a derby, so be it.

Awesome pics Bill. What area of the lake did Mike fish mostly?

Bill will know much more than I do. But I did stop and watch him in Wolf Pen for a bit. He and Mark Davis spent quite a bit of time between Big Creek and Point 9. I think Mike started the day around KC. I watched Hackney for quite a while around my place and Palaniuk. They had two very different patterns working.

Seems to me Mike likes to fish KC-Campbell Point area. Lots of long pockets and mainlake deep points with timber everywhere. My opinion is it has everything you need to do well in a multi-day tournament. If you need a little color change in water you can go into Little or Big Indian Creek and find some. Most of that area is open and you can find some kind of ripple on the water normally within 5 miles. Most of that area lays the same also with certain bank characteristics that you can run for miles. Also, lots of docks with brushpiles around them. That area stays fairly consistant to me but I don't fish the dam area very much. If they are pulling water through the dam that is the only time that I do very good around the dam. Just my 2 cents worth.

I recognized a few spots in the 13 area and Baxter/Big Creek in day 3/4 coverage, including others as well as Mike.

Just a reminder this Elite tournament will air on ESPN2 on 4/20. Putting my DVR to record it now so I don't forget or miss it.
