Al Agnew
I'm kinda putting together an Ozark rodeo for the guys on the Riversmallies website, June 18-22, on the Gasconade at Boiling Spring Campground. Riversmallies is a website that anybody who likes fishing for stream smallmouth should be checking out. I waited until I had some idea of how many were coming from Riversmallies before mentioning it on here--we have people coming from as far away as Ohio, Virginia, and Florida, and it looks like somewhere around 16-20 people are going to attend. We'll be fishing the Gasconade and the other rivers of the area during the days. I have enough campsites reserved that there will probably be room for at least a few more people than what I've got attending so far, so if anybody on here is interested in attending let me know. ColdWaterFshr
Is the riversmallies site back up? Haven't been over there in a long time. Wish I could make it too, but will be out of town.
Mitch f
I think I can do it, at least 1 day.......is this a canoe/kayak only thing? "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Al Agnew
Nope...at least a couple of those guys are bringing jetboats, though more of them will bring canoes and kayaks. The Riversmallies site has been back up now for two or three years. A lot of the same cast of characters that were on the old site are back on the new one. They put on several different rodeos each year in different areas. I actually was at the very first RS rodeo, on the Shenandoah River in Virginia, and have attended a couple others, including one a couple years ago on the New River. I always wanted somebody to get one started in the Ozarks, so finally decided I'd do it myself. Typically everybody goes in pairs or small groups to different stream stretches during the days, and at night get together for music around the campfire (there are some excellent musicians in the group and at least a couple of them will be at this one), drinking of adult everages (though nobody seems to get stupid), and telling of major fishing stories. Everybody has been good people at the ones I've attended. The website, of course, is www.riversmallies.com

Mitch f
I think GreasyB and I might go together in one of his tandems , so count me in for at least 1 day and campfire event. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Wayne SW/MO
Interesting. I would like to put faces on many of the old guard. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Al Agnew
It's a good chance to fish with some of those guys and some that are also on this site. We'll have plenty of boat and canoe space.
fishinwrench
My stickers are kinda faded. I should be able to come chill with y'all. Sounds like a fun time. Good choice on the stretch of river too.
