dtrs5kprs Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 My take home message...Don't forget to fish deep dock cables. Some fish use them just like laydowns. Little highways from deep water to the cover offered by a dock. Now if he had been running more hooks that rig would probably not have come through some of those cedars. Remember...they tried to ban Nick Creme's worm too. Seems like the fish have survived it. Think the camera is very useful for understanding lure action and fish response. Imagine what Glen Lau could have filmed if he'd had one.
MOsmallies Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I hope this entire video wasn't shot at table rock, because at the 49 second mark you'll notice all 5 baits have hooks. He obviously wasn't fishing it that way when the fish hit cause they weren't getting hooked. Still an awesome video!
Old plug Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I seen fish hitting because they are curious. That happens a lot and you may not realize you been hit. Especially especially if it is from the rear. I think I seen a couple of those fish grab enough of the lure to get hooked but dropped it so fast there was no chance for the hook to make contact. DTRS made a good point about line and wire. Your fooling yourself if you think your fooling the fish about hiding the line. We do not really fool them with anything. To begin with they see ultra Violet and Infrared. I would love to see what some of these lines and lure as well would look like in the color range. Lines are also like two kids making a telephone out of two tin cans and a sting. They carry sound and I bet 50lb braid is a excellent sound producer. The real old timers even before my time used to hate a noisy reel. They knew that was going to go down the line. I really believe the fish git over 90% of the junk we throw at them because they are curious. The only exception is when they are on the feed.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Plug...it also shows clearly what happens when you trigger the true predator in fish. Watch the behavior of those follow up fish. Eat the week is rule #1, eat more than the others might be in the top 5. That darn thing has tremendous potential to trigger fish. Really unlike almost anything else.
BATCAB27 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 here's what I learned....somebody needs to invent a way to get this camera on the line thing available at bass pro. have it project right up to your giant fish finder. Instant bazillionaire

Instant bazillionaire They need to make the camera the size of a carolina rig weight. GoPro should be working on this as we speak. People would freak over something like this.
Members AAD Posted April 11, 2014 Members Posted April 11, 2014 Take it away from the pristine, clear waters of Table Rock and I bet all you will see is dirty water. I like how you can see several feet behind the lure and see the bass stalking it before it strikes.. I am on a Texas fishing forum and they had a topic on the video as well. Those boys had the same response we do, pretty cool footage.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 i noticed that most of the fish were striking at the top lures, rather than the bottom or middle lure.

Stripers at Beaver, walleye at Bull, etc. A company that sells a little camera designed for that purpose has some videos up of Havasu and other western lakes. They have some video from the CA Delta, and that would not be considered clear by our standards, or western ones either. http://www.strike-cam.com/
