Bigmo Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Temps were almost 65 up in the Kings yesterday. I know it's going to cool off again with the cooler weather forecasted but when the spawning fish aren't as visible because of the Kings, James, and Long Creeks color what do you guys like to throw to find those beds with the big females on them?
Quillback Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Weightless whacky rigged Senko can get them some days.
willyfish Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Gitzits are always a good bait to try if your a bed fisherman.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Almost any plastic you like, and don't forget topwater. They will come off a bed for a spook. If the weightless plastics don't work, dragging a doctor through those beds is a good way to get stretched.
Sprint21fter Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I like to throw a moving bait first, if a bed is there the fish will either eat the bait or nose the heck out of it off the nest and I will then pick up a jig or senko and throw right back into the area that I got bit.
